Video Contest – Tips For Making Your Video

What should your video be about?

Whatever YOU want!

Create a video sharing your reasons why you choose not to drink underage through an interview, story, illustration, etc. It could be funny, dramatic, action-packed, touching – however you want to show reasons why you choose not to drink underage, or share with your peers reasons that underage drinking is a bad idea.

Length of Videos

Videos should be one minute or less, with a target length of between 15 and 30 seconds.

Video Quality

Use what you’ve got. Shoot your video on a camera phone, web cam, handheld FlipCam, or shoot it on full HD cameras with lighting and sound! The better the quality, the more likely you are to get more votes. However, we are also awarding prizes based solely on content and creativity, so don’t let lack of technology hinder you from submitting a video. We want to hear your reasons and see your video!

Get Help From Your Friends

Each team can have up to four people on it, so get your friends together to help make a video.

Video Content

Come up with your own creative way illustrating why you choose not to drink underage. It could be an interview, action footage showing some of the activities you enjoy, a short film with a full storyline and actors, a music video, an animation, etc. You can use sound if you want or make a silent film. Incorporate the logo and icons if you want (can be downloaded on the Resources page).

The better your video is, the more likely you are to win!

So, take your time and make a great video. You’ll get to share it with all your friends and have them vote on it, so you want it to be the best it can be. Remember, your video has a chance of being shown on TV statewide, so let’s see what you’ve got…
